Taking photos with the Lomography Lomochrome Metropolis film in my Olympus Trip 35 camera

Back in March after initially trying out the Metropolis film in my Hasselblad, I decided to test out the 35mm version in my Olympus Trip 35 Camera.

I took the photos whilst having a walk along Brighton seafront. It was an overcast day which I think helped the effect of this particular type of film and the film was shot at ISO 400.

Here are some of my favourite photos that I took on this film:

  1. I’ve always been suspicious of Lomography’s films. From what I understand it’s mostly rebranded expired film that they’ve been able to get in bulk. I wonder if that’s the case with Metropolis. Whatever the case, I like the look quite a bit. It’s almost like a tungsten film, but I would expect it to be much cooler if that were true. The effect gives everything a very cold appearance that’s almost cinematic, and the grain is quite to my liking. Maybe I’ll have to add some metropolis to my film review list.

Glad to have found your blog. I look forward to your next post.
